A bit more about me
I started out in IT in 1995, as a field service
engineer, repairing PCs. I did that for nearly eight
years, qualifiying as
MCSE on Windows NT in December
2000.
In May 2002 I moved into a tech support role, which I
did for two years, before becoming contractor in May
2004.
I now work for a major retailer as a third line
infrastructure analyst.
Over the years, I've tried to keep up with advances
in technology. I've attended several courses, and
passed over fifteen Microsoft exams.
I've worked with IBM, Dell and HP servers. I prefer
HP servers, and I've obtained the HP
Accredited Platform Specialist and
Accredited Integration Specialist
qualifications on ProLiant servers.
I'm a great fan of VB Script, which I've found is a
very powerful tool to automate processes.
In 2003 I got the opportunity to teach Windows XP
course 2272, and I discovered I had a talent for
technical training. Since then I've gone on to
complete a City & Guilds 7303 course in teaching
adults, and I'm now a Microsoft Certified
Trainer.
